We met in the most unlikely scenario in Tampere in the summer of 2012. Jaana was visiting the city for a few days’ work gig and Mika had just returned from a year and a half stint in Denmark. A game night in Café Europa escalated quickly and we moved in together in an apartment the size of a shoebox in Helsinki only a few months later.
Our journey since has been as adventurous as the beginning. We've backpacked through Asia, lived in Australia and Denmark, spent tens of thousands of miles together on road trips in the US and Europe and explored the great outdoors all over. After endless cups of coffee and tea, cinnamon buns, nights in the middle of nowhere and an occasional flat tyre, the story still keeps getting better.
As this year marks our ten years together, we are finally taking the next step on our journey. Plan and simple, it's time to celebrate us getting married!

Semi-formal / Festive
Pro-tip: the streets are cobbled stone, so prefer comfortable shoes.
Suomenlinna is an island that can be reached via public ferry from the Market Square. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Remember to buy a ticket before boarding!
Check the ferry schedules: here
As the ferries might get crowded during summer, we recommend arriving a bit early and taking a relaxed stroll on the island before the ceremony.
Some tips on what to see: here
Suomenlinna church and the banquet hall are a short (5min) walking distance from the main pier.
The party continues until 01:00am. The very last ferry from the island leaves at 02:00am.
All we really want for our wedding day is for you to be there to celebrate with us.
